What is the DOM?

The DOM is a structured representation of the HTML elements on a webpage. It turns the page into a tree-like structure where each HTML element is a node (like branches and leaves). This structure allows JavaScript to access, change, add, or remove elements dynamically after the page loads.

Getting elements

Use document.getelemendbyid to get ids from the html to use in javascript

Use Strict

You can use strict mode in all your programs. It helps you to write cleaner code, like preventing you from using undeclared variables."use strict"

Use === instead of ==

=== checks both value and type, so it's safer.

Use map() instead of loops for arrays

const numbers = [1, 2, 3];
const doubled = numbers.map(n => n * 2); // [2, 4, 6]

Loops

For loop: when you know how many times you want to loop something
while loop: keeps looping while a condition is true
do while loop: same as while loop but loops at least once
use break to exit a loop early
